Fairfax strikes $4.7-billion deal to buy BlackBerry

Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. is looking to buy BlackBerry Ltd. (also known as Research in Motion) for $9 USD a share, valued at around $4.7 billion. They will be arranging financing from Bank of America and Bank of Montreal in an effort to keep the company in Canada.
