So you're using more RAM now. Is that what you wanted to point out? How many sites?

Yeah I had some memory issues with my Rails apps, then I went in and fixed up my ActiveRecord finds to use includes and limits. Difference is dramatic as well. So I went from Rails to Rails. Amazing isn't it? http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/1073/localhostmemorymo…

Sadly, what you hint at, that Ruby and Rails use much more Ram than Python and Django, is true. I love Ruby, but until its interpreter gets curbs its hunger for more and more Ram I'm afraid it's quite awkward to use most Rails-powered sites because they feel so sluggish. meh.

Well, you are still using too much swap. You need to either tune your db which you are prolly also running on the same box, or add more RAM. half a gig over physical ain't good, even though it's better than what you had before.

Jee Unit, Although your point is valid, it still went over his allotted RAM usage. You're attacking the problem by saying get more RAM, while the author is pointing out that another way is to just have a more efficient platform.
